The Selector story

Launched by the British Council in 2001, The Selector is a weekly two-hour show that covers all styles of music, from folk to electro. The show features interviews, mixes and exclusive live sessions from some of the most exciting British artists.

BBC introducing

The BBC introducing programme seeks out undiscovered and unsigned artists in the UK. In February 2015 The Selector and BBC introducing came together in a groundbreaking partnership providing emerging UK artists with a platform to showcase their music.

Live sessions are recorded at the BBC’s legendary Maida Vale studios, local BBC radio stations and even music festivals around the UK from Bestival to Glastonbury. You can hear these live sessions on the Selector each week.

Mixcloud 

Mixcloud celebrates the best in online radio around the world with the annual Mixcloud online radio awards.

The Selector won awards for Best Pop/New Music Show and World's Best Online Radio Show at this years awards.
