Estonian Youth Council is the umbrella organisation for youth organisations and associations in Estonia. The Council aims to increase the voice of young people in the civil society, to represent youth organisations in government and other national organisations.
The British Council and the Estonian Youth Council delivered a media literacy course in 2017 and 2018 to give young people tools to recognise disinformation and reliable sources of information. In 2019, the Youth Council organised ‘Participation Academy’ for Russian-speaking students to develop their leadership skills, increase their knowledge on how to get involved in the civil society and to encourage a common understanding of democratic values.
